Sulochana Joined LKI in March 2024.

Sulochana holds a MA in International Relations from the Department of International Relations, Tsinghua University in China. Her Master’s thesis discussed on geopolitics in the Indian Ocean and Post-War Sri Lanka’s foreign policy strategy towards great powers. And she completed an LLM specializing in Public International Law from the Penn State Law, Pennsylvania State University in the USA.

Sulochana obtained her first degree, a Bachelor degree in Law, from the Department of Law, University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka.

Prior to join LKI, Sulochana worked as a Legal Consultant to the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka, Consultant for the Law & Society Trust, UNV Legal Assistant for UNDP Sri Lanka, UNV Program Assistant for OHCHR Sri Lanka and Intern & Consultant for the Asia Forum for Human Rights and Development in Bangkok, Thailand
