Senior Research Fellow of the Australian National University visits the LKI

The Executive Director of the LKI, Amb. Ravinatha Aryasinha on Friday 22 March 2024 received visiting Australian scholar Dr. David Brewster, Senior Research Fellow of the Australian National University (ANU), Canberra, for a discussion which focused on the significance of Maritime Domain Awareness.

Dr. Paul Zeccola, First Secretary (Political & Economic) of the Australian High Commission in Sri Lanka, and LKI Research Fellows Mr. Nilupul Gunawardena (Global Governance), Mr. Michael Iveson (Global Economy), and Research Assistant Ms. Sulochana Wijesingha joined the discussion which underscored the importance of Sri Lanka formulating strategies for maritime security, with particular attention to Australian support to Sri Lanka in this quest. Dr. David Brewster also discussed prospects for future collaboration between LKI and Australia, in collaboration with other pertinent Sri Lankan agencies and ministries.
