Ms. Madhuka Rukmalgama

Ms. Madhuka Rukmalgama received her BA (Hons, Second Upper) from the University of Sri Jayawardenapura and her MAIR (Merit) from the University of Colombo. She completed her Diploma in English at Aquinas University College.

She also has completed a fellowship in Digital Security, Safe Sisters in Internews (NGO) and qualified as a Digital Security Trainer.

Prior to joining LKI, she worked as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Public Policy at University of Ruhuna, teaching International Relations, Geopolitics, International Politics, Global Governance and Conflict and Peace Studies.

She represented Sri Lanka, participating in a high-level Delegation to China, invited by the CPC Central Committee in September 2025, and participated as the State Representative and the Head of the Delegates in the 7th meeting of the BIMSTEC Network of Policy Think Tanks (BNPTT) in Nepal, May 2025.

Currently, she is also working as a visiting lecturer at Bandaranike Center for International Studies (BCIS) in the International Relations Diploma course.
