Executive Director of the LKI, Ambassador Ravinatha Aryasinha, on 23 August 2023 met with Ms. Siri Bjune, Head of Office (a.i.), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Sri Lanka and Head of Global Maritime Crime Programme (GMCP) at the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute. During the meeting, Ambassador Aryasinha and Ms. Bjune discussed possible future collaborations between the LKI and UNODC.

Ms. Siji Song, Programme Coordinator, Indian Ocean East, GMCP, Mr. Nilupul Gunawardena, Research Fellow (Global Governance) and Ms. Nethmi Jinadasa, Research Assistant were present at the meeting.
