Meeting with Ambassador of the European Union to Sri Lanka

H.E. Carmen Moreno, Ambassador of the European Union to Sri Lanka and the Maldives met with LKI’s Executive Director, Ambassador Ravinatha Aryasinha at the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute, on 24th November 2023.

They shared perspectives on the EU-Sri Lanka relations, predominantly concerning Sri Lanka’s EU GSP+ status. Appreciating the recent collaboration between the LKI and the EU on the ‘Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction Agreement’, prospects for future collaboration were also discussed during this meeting.

Mr. Lars Bredal, Deputy Head of Delegation of the European Union to Sri Lanka and the Maldives,Mr. Chathuka Senanayake, Director (Administration) and Ms. Nethmi Jinadasa, Research Assistant were associated in the meeting.
