LKI’s Michael Iveson Presents at Regional Climate Finance Summit

Michael Iveson, Research Fellow (Global Economy), participated in a regional conference titled “Green Finance and Sustainable Development in South Asia”, held in Kathmandu, Nepal on Wednesday 3^rd April 2024. The conference was organised by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’s Regional Programme Energy Security and Climate Change Asia Pacific (RECAP) and the Consortium of South Asian Think Tanks (COSATT).

In his presentation made on “Climate finance in Sri Lanka”, Michael discussed some of his recent research and publications through LKI, focusing on the need for investments in renewable energy infrastructure in Sri Lanka to address energy security, to achieve climate change mitigation and adaptation goals, and to maintain crucial climate investments during periods of economic instability.
