A workshop on research methodology was held at the LKIIRSS Boardroom on 8 January 2026, bringing together researchers and interns at the institute for an in-depth and engaging learning session.
Conducted by Dr. Nishara Mendis, the workshop provided a comprehensive overview of core research methodologies, with a particular focus on formulating strong research questions, selecting appropriate methods, and developing a well-structured, high-quality research paper.
The session encouraged active discussion and critical thinking, allowing participants to engage with both theoretical frameworks and practical research challenges. Researchers Madhuka Rukmalagama and Sulochana Wijayasinghe were in attendance, alongside Research Interns Aakil Riyaz and Vinura Gamage, Communications Intern Yeshiah Peries, as well as Operations Intern Pawani Dilrukshi.
The workshop served as a valuable platform for knowledge-sharing, capacity-building, and strengthening research practices within the LKIIRSS.
