LKI to collaborate with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to host Joint Seminar focusing on ‘Economic Security’ in the Indian Ocean Region

The Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute (LKI) in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea (ROK) will host a Joint Seminar focusing on the ‘Economic Security’ drawing on both Korean and Sri Lankan experts on 21 August 2024, as part of the ROK’s engagement with the IORA, currently chaired by Sri Lanka.  Executive Director of the LKI Amb. Ravinatha Aryasinha met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Sri Lanka, H.E. Miyon Lee at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Colombo on 05 July 2024 for a discussion to facilitate the proposed joint seminar.

Mr. Nilupul Gunawardena,Senior Research Fellow, Global Governance of LKI ,Mr. Michael Iveson, ODI Research Fellow,Ms. Sohngyee Jung, Deputy Head of Mission and Ms. Navodanie Ratnatilake Assistant Research & Public Relations officer of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea also participated in the discussion.
