LKI Participates in Delegation Visit to China Organized by the CPC International Department

Ms. Madhuka Rukmalgama, Researcher at the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations and Strategic Studies (LKIISS), was a member of a delegation visit to China from 15-24 September 2025, which was organized by the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The delegation comprised of think tank experts, political party leaders and media representatives from South and Southeast Asian countries, including Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, the Maldives and Malaysia. Participants visited Beijing and Chongqing, where they engaged in discussions and site visits. The focus of the visit was social governance, BRI investments, technological innovation and the digital economy, sustainable urban development, green transformation, and grassroots Party building. LKI’s participation was valuable for strengthening the Institute’s engagement with regional partners and exchanging perspectives on governance and development.
