The State Minister of Regional Cooperation, Hon. Tharaka Balasuriya who made his inaugural visit to the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations and Strategic Studies on Wednesday, (26.08.2020) was warmly received by the Executive Director of LKI, Dr. Ganeshan Wignaraja and LKI staff.

During his visit, Minister Balasuriya discussed recent international developments, the new government’s foreign policy and regional cooperation strategy, and his vision for LKI’s role in research and knowledge dissemination. The minister met the LKI  researchers to hear about their research interests and ongoing work.

Minister Balasuriya also toured the LKI premises and took note of possible renovation needs of the iconic, heritage property.
