The Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations and Strategic Studies (LKI) recently welcomed a five-member delegation from the New Delhi based Manohara Parrikar Institute for Defence and Analyses (MP-IDSA) for discussions on India-Sri Lanka relations and regional development.
The discussions focused on the way forward for India-Sri Lanka bilateral relations, enhanced maritime security cooperation in the Indian Ocean, port development and Sri Lanka’s economic and political outlook. The 5-member delegation was headed by Amb. Sujan R. Chinoy, Director General of MP-IDSA. The delegation also included Dr. Ashok Behuria, Cmde. Roby Thomas, Dr. Smruti Pattanaik, and Dr. Gulbin Sultana.
Amb. Chitranganee Wagiswara, former Foreign Secretary and former Board Member of LKI, Mrs. Radhika De Silva, Deputy Director of LKI, and research staff participated in the meeting.
