At a webinar hosted by the Institute of National Security Studies Sri Lanka (INSSSL) of the Ministry of Defence, LKI’s Executive Director, Dr. Ganeshan Wignaraja underscored the importance of reforming state-owned enterprises in Sri Lanka through an innovative institutional mechanism.

The online panel discussion was a unique event as it brought together the heads of three premier state institutions (Admiral Prof. Colombage of INSSSL, Dr. Vidanage of BCIS ,and Dr. Wignaraja of LKI) to share perspectives on ‘Sri Lanka in a Post COVID World’.

The discussion suggested that Sri Lanka had effectively responded to the public health emergency but challenges lie ahead in tackling the economic fallout from the pandemic and the increasingly complex geopolitics.
