On the 14th May 2026, the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations and Strategic Studies (LKIIRSS) welcomed Acting Ambassador / Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands H.E. Iwan Rutjens, Mr. Namal Perera, Senior Policy Advisor for Political Affairs of the Embassy, alongside Ms. Rosaline Lantink and Mr. Tobias Koster, Research Fellows at the Clingendael Institute. They were received by Dr. Nishara Mendis, Executive Director of LKI, Senior Research Fellows, Ms. Madhuka Rukmalgama, Ms. Nillasi Liyanage and Ms. Piyumani Ranasinghe, along with LKI interns Ms. Dulmini HettiArachchi and Ms. Yalindee Premaratne.
The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the LKI met to exchange views on issues of shared importance, along with perspectives and knowledge.
