On 09th March 2026, the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations and Strategic Studies (LKIIRSS) welcomed Patricia Pego Guerra, Ambassador of the Reublic of Cuba to Sri Lanka. She was received by Dr. Nishara Mendis & Research Intern, Thevni Sendanayake.
Discussions with regard to potential collaborations between the Embassy of Cuba to Sri Lanka and the LKI were held, along with the ambassador being given a tour of the institution premises.
