LKI and the Polish Institute of International Affairs engage in an exchange of views

Dr. Patryk Kugiel, Senior Analyst at the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PIIA) met with Ambassador Ravinatha Aryasinha, Executive Director of LKI on 20 September 2024 at the LKI. The meeting held within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement that exists between the Polish Institute of International Affairs and the LKI, was joined by LKI’s team of researchers engaged in studies related to the EU region and Sri Lanka’s role in multilateral fora.

The discussion focused on Sri Lanka – Poland and Sri Lanka- EU relations, the contemporary foreign policy challenges faced by Sri Lanka, major power rivalry in the Indian ocean, and contemporary developments in Europe including the Russia-Ukrainian conflict and its bilateral and multilateral implications.

Ms. Sulochana Wijesinghe, Research Assistant of LKI, Mr. Shayan Peris, Ms. Chirathi Perera and Mr. Pankaja Weerasekara, Research Interns of LKI participated in the discussion.
