The Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations and Strategic Studies supported the Ministry of Foreign Relations to conduct a week-long orientation programme for several designate heads of Sri Lankan missions in March 2020.

The programme covered Sri Lanka’s foreign and defence policy, public and economic diplomacy, investment and tourism promotion, exports, labour migration, and management of missions.

Senior officials (including the Foreign Secretary and the Defence Secretary), leading private sector representatives, and academics acted as resource persons for the programme.
