Meeting with the delegation from Institute of South Asian Studies, Sichuan University of China

Executive Director of LKI Amb. Ravinatha Aryasinha on 11 July 2023 received a delegation led by Prof. Zeng Xiangyu, Associate Professor and Research/International Coordinator at the Institute of South Asian Studies of the Sichuan University of China. It included senior faculty and some students working on Sri Lanka and the region. During the meeting an academic discussion was conducted focusing on a number of areas including, China- Sri Lanka relations, developments in the Indian Ocean, and contemporary international politics. The University which has a ‘Sri Lanka Programme’, also discussed possible academic collaboration between the two institutions. Mr. Chathuka Senanayake, Director (Administration and Finance), Mr. Michael Iveson Research Fellow (Global Economy), Mr. Keerthi Martyn US Fulbright Scholar, and Mr. Dulanaka Jayasinghe, Research Assistant, were associated in the meeting.
